01What we collect
Nifty Worksheets is designed so that you can browse, preview, and download printable worksheets without giving us anything in return. We don't have user accounts. We don't operate any login, registration, or profile system. We don't ask for your name, age, school, location, or anything else to use the site.
That said, like any website, we do log a few things automatically:
- Standard web-server logs (IP address, browser type, referring page, timestamp). These are kept for 30 days for security and debugging, then deleted.
- Anonymous, aggregate analytics: which pages are popular, which worksheets get downloaded, how people find us. We use a privacy-respecting analytics provider that does not set tracking cookies or fingerprint visitors.
- If you write to us through our contact form, we keep what you sent us so we can reply.
02Children & COPPA
Nifty Worksheets is built for educators, parents, and tutors, but we know children are part of our audience. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and follow similar principles globally.
Specifically:
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
- We do not require accounts or logins. There is no profile, no progress tracking, no individual identifier tied to a child.
- Our advertising partner, Mediavine, serves ads in a COPPA-compliant mode on our site. That means no behavioral tracking of users and no targeted advertising based on browsing history.
- If you're a parent or guardian and have any concern about your child's data, contact us and we'll act on it within 5 business days.
04Advertising
We're an ad-supported website. Display advertising pays our hosting, our editorial team, and the honoraria we send to teachers whose worksheets we publish. Without ads, the library wouldn't be free.
Our advertising is served by Mediavine. On our site, ads are configured for COPPA compliance: contextual targeting only (based on the page content, not on your behavior), no behavioral retargeting, and no cross-site profiles.
You will never see an ad on a worksheet PDF itself, only on the website pages around it.
05Third parties
We use a small number of third-party services to run the website:
- Mediavine. Display advertising (COPPA-compliant configuration).
- Plausible Analytics. Anonymous traffic analytics.
- Cloudflare. Content delivery and DDoS protection. Cloudflare sees standard request logs as part of routing traffic.
- Buttondown. Our optional newsletter ("The Friday Folder"). If you subscribe, your email is stored with Buttondown until you unsubscribe.
Each provider has its own privacy policy. We picked these because they share our values about minimal data collection.
06How we use information
The limited information we do collect is used only to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve Nifty Worksheets.
- Reply to messages you send us through the contact form.
- Send the newsletter to people who explicitly subscribed.
- Detect and prevent abuse, fraud, and security threats.
We don't sell your information. We never have, and we never will. We don't share it for marketing purposes.
07Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights regarding personal data. These include the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, and the right to object to processing.
Because we collect so little (and what we collect is anonymous or transient), most of these rights are already honored by default. For specific requests (for example: deleting a contact-form thread or a newsletter subscription), email privacy@niftyworksheets.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
08Updates to this policy
If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and post a notice on the homepage for at least 30 days. We won't apply changes retroactively to data already collected.
09Contact us
Questions, concerns, or curiosities about how we handle data?
- Email: privacy@niftyworksheets.com
- Or use our contact form and pick "Privacy / data question"
One more thing.
If we ever change our minds about any of this (say, accepting a buyout from a company with different values), we'll tell users first, give you 30 days' notice, and make it easy to walk away with any data you've shared. That's a promise.
Signed, Rosa, Jamie, Devon, Priya, and the rest of the Nifty Worksheets team.
